XG1v4 and Samsung Q9 QLED remote

Hi,

I just go the new Xfinity XG1v4 (Arris AX014ANM) 4K cable box. I have it connected to my Samsung QN65Q9F tv. I can't get the Samsung One remote to control the cable box or the Xfinity XR15 (new Xfinity remote) to control the TV. I've tried every samsung code, but the Q9 doesn't have an IR reviever port. This was verified by Samung support. Also, the Arris model number isn't listed in the list of Arris models that the one remote recoginzes.

I understand that the XG1v4 does have an IR reciever and would like to know if anyone knows how to program the Q9 One Remote to control the XG1v4 via IR.

I've called both Xfinity support and Samsung support and they have no answers.

Thanks

If your TV remote is the smart bluetooth it is unlikely it can control the Comcast remote. The owner's manual online says you should try the remote codes for the Samsung brand. press the A button on the remote and then select remote setup on your X1 menu. after your remote is set up in RF mode the menu will move to setup your TV control and if you have one, your receiver control.
