XG1v4 Does this have an internal fan?

XG1v4 Does this have an internal fan?

I have autism, and the fan in my current X1 box drives me crazy.  I have heard about the XG1v4, and I am wondering, does it have a fan?  I had heard it was a solid state HDD, so maybe it is silent in operation?

Is there really no digital audio out for people who don't have 4K tuners yet?

No fan, you can't hear it all. HDMI or coax out only

Thank you Andrew.  As a new poster in this forum, I'd like to ask, off-topically, where do I mark your reply as an accepted solution?  That is the last line on your sig, but I see no thing to click upon.

Also, I clicked on Kudos to your reply, but the number still says zero; I thought that might generate a mark of an accepted solution.

Don’t worry about it, it’s all good. If you need anything else feel free.

the HDMI cable carries more audio options digitally than the older less capabile digital cable. there is a setting in the box to route audio to HDMI.
