X1 Pixelation

X1 Pixelation

Like so many other people on this forum, I am experiencing pixelation with my X1 service.  It started out with 2 channels (HGTV and CNN) over a year ago.  It would come and go, and the severity would vary.  Typically the channels were still watchable (but annoying), but sometimes the pixelation and sound cutting in and out was too much to actually watch the channels.  It seems to get worse when a menu is displayed (last channels, guide, etc.).  Recently, additional channels have started to have the same problem (ESPN, TNT, and several others).  The problem is _not_ isolated to one of my TV's or X1 boxes.  All 3 of the TV's in my house have the same problem at the same time with the same channels.  I haven't seen anyone else mention that the pixelation gets worse when a menu is displayed, so I thought I would chime in with my own message.

Re: X1 Pixelation

Hi marvin_03, if all of your TV's have the same issue with the same channels the problem could be with your line coming into your home. It can also be caused by a bad splitter within your cable system, pixelation is generally a result of a bad connection with a cable or splitter. To remedy this please check and see if you have any connectors beside your cables that is attached to your cable boxes. Once you have done that please make sure all of your cables are secure in the back of each box and each TV.
