X1 DVR - Why do I have to choose which room to record?

X1 DVR - Why do I have to choose which room to record?

I have the X1 DVR and a set-top-box in one room.  On the online DVR Manager, it shows I have two DVR's, and whenever I set a recording it asks which DVR to record to.  But with the X1, there is only 1 DVR, the second box just retrieves what's on the DVR.  So my question is, why can't I just have it to record to the DVR instead of showing two DVR's in two different rooms?

 

It also is just a jumbled mess when I look at my scheduled recordings because everything is a dupicate:

Sons of Anarchy @ 8:00 pm in the bedroom

Sons of Anarchy @ 8:00 pm in the living room

Big Bang Theory @ 9:00 pm in the bedroom

Big Bang Theory @ 9:00 pm in the living room

The Tonight Show @ 10:30 pm in the bedroom

The Tonight Show @ 10:30 pm in the living room

 

In reality, it's only recording once in the living room, but because I have a set-top-box in the bedroom it thinks I have a second DVR.  Is anyone else bothered by this, and can I somehow remove one of the DVR's from view in the online DVR Manager?
