Why can't my friend sign in while she's visiting so we can watch cable?

I have xfinity internet only.  My friend is visiting and she pays for xfinity cable in a nearby town. We were wanting to watch a show on AMC, but when I click to sign in, it won't let her enter her info so we can watch.  It just keeps saying "sorry, this is not included in your service."  DUH.  That's why my friend wants to sign in, so we can watch!  How can we make this work?  Otherwise, we're stuck with no cable this weekend.  It's like my laptop and my firestick KNOW that I don't personally have cable, but I'm not sure why it won't even let her sign in so that we CAN watch something?  HELP!

She can only sign in on her own network to watch tv.  At your house she's not on her network, she's on yours.

To follow up with what Again has stated, here is a link with more information on why she is unable to login at your house to watch live TV: https://www.xfinity.com/support/cable-tv/live-tv-streaming/

 

See the sections that says: 

 

  • I can't watch all of my live TV and/or XFINITY On Demand streaming when I'm traveling. Is there a problem?
    While in the home, content is delivered as a cable service over Comcast's managed IP network, and includes your full live TV channel lineup and all of your XFINITY On Demand choices. Although more than 200 live TV channels and over 40,000 On Demand movies and shows are available outside of the home over the Internet, certain content is not currently available. Use the Available Out of Home filter in the XFINITY Stream app or portal to easily identify streaming options available when you are not at home. Streaming and downloading of content when outside of the United States is not allowed due to limitations on rights by content providers.
