Weird aspect ratios on 3 channels. San Jose area.

Weird aspect ratios on 3 channels. San Jose area.

KRONTV (187) used to be squeezed from the sides so that everything was tall and narrow. After months of that, it changed to normal, but in recent days has changed again so that everything is stretched to the sides and too wide.

Then some months ago MeTV (196) switched from normal to squeezed and has been that way for some weeks.

And now just in the last few days, BBC America (162) is squeezed during the evenings and normal during the day.

When the channels are doing this, sometimes the commercials are messed up as well, but sometimes the commercials display properly even though the shows are distorted.

I chatted with a technician today who was nice but unable to fix it.  am certain the problem is not with my tv or cable box anyway, since all my other channels display properly all the time. However, Comcast seems to be unaware that this is happening, so I wanted to post here to find out if anyone else is seeing it and let Comcast know how big the problem is.

UserName3000, thanks for posting about your ratio issues.

Are you seeing these channel ratio issues if you try viewing the channel on demand?
