Watching recorded program on line.

Watching recorded program on line.

I like to watch recorded shows from my laptop when traveling. Sometimes I get a message that says the recorded show can only be watched on my home network. These are usually shows that have not finished recording or shows that were recently recorded. I am sometimes able to watch them on my laptop a day or two later. 

 

Can someone explain why this happens?

You can only watch completed recordings outside the home. In progress recordings can only be viewed while connected to your in home network.
