Vizio Model E48-C2 with X1 Platform. Resulution Not Supported

Vizio Model E48-C2 with X1 Platform. Resulution Not Supported

Frequently when I turn on my TV I get a black screen with the phrase "Resolution Not Supported" in the middle of the screen.  I have to restart the X1 box to remedy the problem.  Less frequently, but often enough to be a nuisance, the picture will flicker and go black with the same notice.

I have tried 1080p and 1080i with the same result.  Can anyone enlighten me?  Thanks.

set to 720p in the settings menu for video resolution. Let your TV upscale the video.
