Videos on Xfinity Home page will not play regardless of the browser used.

I am rapidly tiring of paying a substantial monthly amount of money to comcast each month only to discover that I can no longer play videos on the home page like I used to be able to do. Comcast has made some sort of change but has not notified its customers of the change and what can be done to solve the problem. It's obviously a problem because when you google the issue you can see lots of customers complaining about the same issue. I have all the basic requirements to play videos--I can play videos from any website except the Xfinity home page and I use to be able to play them on the Xfinity home page prior to changes made by Xfinity. I am using Windows 7 and I've tried all the solutions suggested by others but to no avail. I cannot access the news from Xfinity because so much of the content is tied to watching the related videos after being exposed to those mindless and counterproductive 30 second commercials. How can you get the videos to play for me again?
