Re: VIEWING XFINITY ON WEB

While I myself have not experienced the overly repeating commercial (the same three commercials have never played more than three times) there are a dozen or more people here who have. There is an official thread that was started by ComcastJoe (one of the official Comcast support people) to deal specificially with advertising issue, you can find it here: http://forums.comcast.com/t5/XfinityTV-Website/Ad-Issue-during-Video-Playback-on-http-xfinitytv-comc... please read and post with the information requested.

If you don't receive a response within a reasonable time then I suggest you send one of the Comcast support people a private message with a link to the thread and ask them to take a look.

Re: VIEWING XFINITY ON WEB

This service is ridiculously bad. Whenever I try to stream live xfinity channels on my laptop the video stays buffering and buffering and buffering until an error message appears. My internet connection is not the problem. I have a strong wifi connection and still constantly have this problem. And when I try to use the xfinity app on my ipad, I can't even get through one full show without the channel force closing, and providing another error message, a meaningless apology and a lie saying "we will report this problem and try to fix it". All I can say is this service is complete garbage! I don't understand why they would even offer it if it constantly has all these problems. I am really fed up and dissapointed with comcast.

Re: VIEWING XFINITY ON WEB

First thing, make sure that you you are using the latest version of Flash, you can check which version your browser is using here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If you are using the latest version and still having a problem try clearing the cache and deleting cookies in your web browser, Google on your web browser to get specific details on how to do that.

If those things don't help you out then try installing  FireFox and use the extenstions"Status-4-Evar" and "Live HTTP headers". The Status-4-Evr extenstion will put back the status bar which was removed a number of versions ago and Live HTTP headers will capture detailed data about whats going on in the browser. (If you need more detailed instructions, just post back) Please see my post here: http://forums.comcast.com/t5/XfinityTV-Website/HBO-Game-of-Thrones-not-working/td-p/2164388

Re: VIEWING XFINITY ON WEB

Thanks so much!  This fixed the problem I was having.  My browser would just hang after playing one commercial, and I couldn't ever see more than the first 15 minutes of any show.  THANKS A LOT!!
