Unable to view series priority manager online

Unable to view series priority manager online

I used to be able to do this on the old website, but now I can't view the series priority list, or manage shows I record.  All I want is to be able to view a list of series I have set to record so I can clean it up, but I want to do it online and not just when I'm at home in front of my TV.

 

I have X1 and the cloud service, where do I do this on the website?  It used to just be a link, but I can't find it now...where is it?

Priority Manager uses tech that is owned by tivo which is under dispute. Same reason why you can't set recording using streaming app or web site.

You can use the website to manage upcoming recordings under "Saved: Scheduled" (with X1 and Cloud services). If you would like a full series priority manager, you can find that in the XFINITY TV Remote app available for iOS and Android devices.

You can use the website to manage upcoming recordings under "Saved: Scheduled" (with X1 and Cloud services). If you would like a full series priority manager, you can find that in the XFINITY TV Remote app available for iOS and Android devices.


So the series priority manager that was there before (on the web), is gone now?  Why?  I used to manage shows there all the time - remove old shows that got cancelled, swap priorities around if some conflicted, etc...why is it gone now?...and is it coming back?

In the app, I don't see it either (looking at it right now on my android phone, and I don't see a series priority manager anywhere...it looks the same as the website).  Where exactly is it in the app?

I was looking at the xfinity TV app myself and realized that there is another app called xfinity TV Remote where under DVR Manager there is priority manager.

That's what Comcast is calling an "upgrade", along with the change from HTML5 to Flash and removal of most of the useful features from the website.

So I have to use an app meant to make my phone work as a remote control...which is only useful if I'm at home...but if I'm at home, I can just use my - you know - actual friggin remote to control the TV and have access to the series priority section because again, I'll be at home!!??!!??

 

Is that really the only option here?  Use an app meant to be used in my house, instead of the actual remote control I already use...and that allows me to access the series priority settings in the app...while I'm next to the TV...the h*ll?

The XFINITY TV Remote app can used anywhere in the world to manage your DVR, schedule or delete recordings, and tune your television to live or On Demand programming.

 

The XFINITY TV website and apps can be used anywhere in the United States to stream content. If you are away from home, please select the "Available out of home filter".  Customers with X1 Cloud DVR can also use the XFINITY TV app and website to schedule recordings.

Just adding that the remote app doesn't work, just shows an error each time I try to log in...so still no way to view the series priority list other than from a tv.

 

Honestly, how hard is it to add the screen back to the regular online set of pages?  Why take it away in the first place?

I'm bumping this to see if there's any new information about the series priority manager online. I just spent over an hour chatting with three different specialists (the first two couldn't help and just when the third one started chatting, I was disconnected). 

 

Is there truly no way to manage a list of scheduled series recordings online (I don't know what xfinity calls them; Dish calls them timers, if that helps explain what I mean since the chat specialists thought I was talking about the list of upcoming/scheduled recordings by day)? That seems like such a basic thing. So far, I've been impressed with the online dvr and streaming capabilities, but not being able to manage timers online is a big disappointment.

Please use the XFINITY TV Remote app to manage the priority of your series recordings (possibly only iOS but not sure). That feature isn't yet build into the Stream app.

@RobertWy: I'm new to Comcast/Xfinity so I'm not really sure what you're talking about. By "account xfinity tv website" do you mean tv.xfinity.com? If so, you can't view a list of all your timers there as far as I can see. And what is the Comcast Series Recording System? Would it let me see all my timers online? How do I access it?

@ComcastDan: It doesn't look like the Android app has the series priority manager even though the description says it does. You said that the feature isn't built into the Stream app yet. Is there an actual app for Windows 10 that I should be using, or do you just mean the website? Also, are you saying they're planning on being able to do this online and/or in the Android app? Any chance it might be in the next 28 or so days? I have just under 30 days left to cancel my service. 

 

I'll only be watching TV in my bedroom and I can't get the stb in there so I need to be able to manage it all from my computer. I did what I thought was a good amount of research into online services and it seemed like xfinity had everything I wanted; it didn't occur to me such a basic function wouldn't be included.

I have just started using the online service from my computer.  I know how to adjust the "series priority" using the DVR control device but I want to use my computer to do the same thing since it is so much faster and easier.  That feature is clearly not available online - why not?  Why do I have to use different devices for difference features?  Why can't I do the same things on all devices?  I pay Comcasrt a lot of money for service but I followed this discussion that goes back over a year with no indication anyone cares to fiix this simple problem.
