Tv listings online inaccurate, cannot change zip code

I'm using Firefox, 13.0.1, on a computer running Vista if it makes any difference. While logged in, the tv listings are showing up, and on the correct number channel, but they're showing up for 9PM when it's only 6PM, and several of the channels are listing the wrong shows for the wrong times. Strangely, those channels are listed with the correct show when I pull up the guide on the other cable box. I cannot change the zip code, every time I click Change Location I get a popup-type bubble in the window reading

"Enter Your Zip Code
First, let's make sure we have your channel lineup.
DAC: 112_1"

and giving me nowhere to input the information. I am in zip code 98055, in the Pacific time zone, so you know. I think it's not giving me the option to change the time zone because the zip code bit is broken. I also cannot get favorites to stay, although cookies are turned on. When logged out I can change the zip code normally. Any suggestions? Clicking back a couple hours is just annoying, but going back to find that listing is deleted because it's already gone past in another time zone is a problem.

It called itself something else, but I clicked a link at the bottom, something about seeing other listings, and it worked. I'm going with it. Still kinda silly to have to go that far around because the option to do this on the page doesn't work. Either way, it works, I'm happy enough. Good luck to everyone else. Oh, any idea why the lineups for certain channels are still misaligned for times? The only channel I remember seeing it on for sure was G4, which is on 136 for me, and the show I wanted said it was on two hours before it actually was. The guide on the cable box had it right, though. All the other shows were displaying for the right time, and I was looking at the right timeslot. Just kinda weird.

That box told me

 

First, let's make sure we have your channel lineup.
DAC: 186_365

 

and wouldn't let me input or select anything. Also, the timezone was set already to Pacific. I saved anyways, but it's still coming back to the wrong default time.

 

Thank you for the suggestion, though.

I have the same problem- when I got the box that said : First, let's make sure we have your channel lineup.

DAC: 167_92  I closed it, which brought me to "Settings" which told me my location was not set.  I clicked on the box to set my zip code (btw, I am signed in so the program should know this) and it brought me back to the same box and message.  I clicked "On your tv" which brought me back to the listings asking for my location.  I've been going in circles since this started.

These "new listings" are the most frustrating PITA. All I want is a simple, easy way to check my listings.  I only watch a dozen channels, I don't want to scroll through everything.   I have set my favorites 3 times-they disappear when I close my browser.  Now I can't even do that because of the zip code snafu.

Hi all,

 

That pop-up box that says "First, let's make sure we have your channel lineup. DAC: 186_365" look at the bottom of the that pop-up box. You will see a link that says "View more service areas". Click that to manually set your zip code.

 

Also, on the top right of that pop-up box, it allows you to change your time zone. If your time zone is correct and the times are still off, make sure that your computer's time and time zone is correct.

 

Let me know the results.

tv guide lineup

Please fix your guide, it has been messed up for weeks, and we can't put in our zip code to get our line up either...

Hello,

Have you tried at the bottom of the tv listing webpage the tv listing settings link. It will bring you to a page with a bunch of options where one of them is edit zip code.

There is nothing at the bottom of the popup box, just the message I posted. 

 

If I scroll down to Listings I get another popup box that says "Verify your selected service area based on the channel lineup to the right."  The lineup is correct but that doesn't help with anything else. 

 

When I click on select from that box it brings me to "Settings"  "Account and Household" with buttons Update Account and Update Location which says your zipcode is currently not set.    When I click on the Update Location button it brings me back to the popup box I just came from.

My computer's time is accurate and I think it is a bug in your system that doesn't allow users to set the zip code.  I can't set the zip code even when I try.  I have to always set it.  Even if I change the zip code and then click "Queue"  then go back to "On Your TV"  I have to set it all over again.  Very frustrating. 

Let me know how to set this permanently so I don't have to keep updating the right zip code. 

 

Also, may I suggest that you allow users to set favorite tv shows that we add in our queue to the listings instead of just adding favorite channels?  I really would like to stop using tvguide.com and just be able to use xfinity for my tv listings!

Try using a different web browser and let me know if it works. This is not a permanent solution but it will help us narrow down your issue.

I primarily use Firefox and I tried IE without success.  I can't even set my zip code in my personalized settings as it says it is not set.  I try to change it but without success.  I also see my profile is not complete?  Maybe because I don't have a DVR from you guys?
