Try deleting and reinstalling the app

Support asked mt to try deleting and reinstalling the xfinity app, which fixed my problem. You might want to try it too.

How many times did you uninstall/reinstall the app? I've done that 3x on both of my devices (iPhone 4s & iPad 3rd generationbooth running iOS 5.1.1) and as of this morning I am able to manage recordings including scheduling new recordings and canceling scheduled recordings. But the ability to change channels still doesn't work and when I "Test" it from settings, nothing happens.

I only had to reinstall the app once so you must be having a different problem than I was, sorry.
