TV listings not working on xfinity iPad app

TV listings are showing gibberish on my Xfinity app. Is there a problem with Comcast, or is there a setting I should check?

I finally had time to get with Tech support and it is now working....Hope it stays that way Smiley Happy  Thanks

What do you mean when you say "gibberish"?

 

Are they incorrect?

Are the channels wrong (ABC listed as 4 when it is really channel 6)

Are the channels right but the times and listings are wrong?

Are they not loading?

Just got Comcast yesterday for the first time coming from Directv.  I have the app on an Ipad 2 and Ipod touch.  The Ipad 2 does not use the "go to channel" when you tap on the icon and it is taking a while for the guide to fill in.  The ipod touch has similar lack of functioning. What do I need to do?  Thanks

Click on a program in the TV listings grid that is currently airing. In the description of the program, does a "Watch on TV" button appear?

Are you logged in with your primary Comcast.net e-mail address?

 

On a PC or Mac, can you change channels from our TV Listings Page?

How do I check if I am logged in or not?  I think I am.  I think I tried to change channel from my laptop last night with no result as well.  I think it said something that it did not see the dvr or that the one I have does not support this function.  Is there a task flow that I could follow and report back?  What time are you generally on the forums and I will try to be by my tv screen then.  The ultimate goal here is to get this functioning on the Ipad and touch.  The app is useless to me if I have to turn on a PC everytime.  Thanks

Try creating a Comcast ID by going to Xfinitytv.com while your signed out then click "Register". Create a Comcast ID then try signing into the app with it.

 

Let me know the results.

Reinstalled app on ipad 2 and entered name and pw

 

Unfortunately we are unable to find any cable boxes eligible for TV Control

You'll be notified if any eligible cable boxes are discovered later

 

What is going on and how do I get this resolved.  Thanks

I am using the login that I setup on Tuesday with the installer that gets me into email, user settings etc on Comcast.net

Try creating a Comcast ID by going to Xfinitytv.com while your signed out then click "Register". Create a Comcast ID then try signing into the app with it. Check to see if you can change channels using the Comcast ID.

You already have Comcast username(s) set-up. You can use one of these to sign-in with.
