TV Guide online

The online channel line up has a lot of TBD. This has been going on for weeks. Don't know why some of the channel info is not available on Comcast but, when I check other channel line ups on the internet all shows are present with all info needed. Fix it Comcast!

Re: TV Guide online

You are not alone, wvrocker.  My online tv guide is experiencing the same..   Don't know if it's an area thing or system wide.  My location is central MA.

This is why I don't rely on comcast for an online guide and have always kept my zap 2 it tv schedule up to date..  Smiley Wink

wvrocker & Bluejay -- Mine does the same thing however it's only for SD channels. Do yours show TBD for both SD and HD channels?

Re: TV Guide online

Don't remember, too long ago..   But today, the following occurred and it's not the first time.   920 BBCA is missing from the grid.  Any clues, Zach?   ciao, bj

Re: TV Guide online

We've got a support team working through this now. What we have noticed is that it's only occurring with xfinitytv.comcast net whereas the new format, tv.xfinity.com, isn't having any troubles.

Re: TV Guide online

Thanks for your reply, Zach and the info that this is ONLY occurring with the .net and not the .com.    I've looked at the "New Way to Watch" and am not impressed.

1. The BLACK background is extremely hard on these old eyes.

2. The 2 hour viewing window on the TV Grid is a poor comparison to the 5 hour on the .net

3.  If this is to be put in place of the .net grid, with subscribers having no choice, I will not be using the .com format.

4.  There doesn't appear to be any link to the DVR.

Re: TV Guide online

Probably Comcast trying to force the new guide on it's customers. I agree I do not like the new guide. If it is not broke don't fix it.

Zach, the following image is from this morning.  Shows HD channels TBD, on the  .net  site.   If this is a way for comcast to get subscribers to switch to the  .com  site, it's extremely underhanded.   ciao, bj

BlueJay -- As long as we have both formats, we want both of them to work properly.

Re: TV Guide online

Hey BlueJay, I'll do you one even better.  Along with the TBDs, I also get just blank boxes for certain times, but if you click the blank box it will show you what is on.

Re: TV Guide online

Hey HowAboutThisOne, you certainly did me one better with the blank boxes..

I also noted that you were subject to the "double photo bug" which has been around for quite some time, and is yet to be corrected.     Smiley Sad

I guess it's easier to write new programs than it is to correct errors created in flawed new & improved forum revisions.  Smiley Sad

I've said it before and I'll say it again,   http://www.zap2it.com   --

Side note, if I remember correctly, I've been around since before 2003, I got hooked on zap2it,  because comcast did at one time use zap for their TV guide.    Dark ages, I'm a dinosaur.  Smiley Wink

Yay!!!    No TBDs today!!!!    Let's hope it sticks and we can continue to use the original TV listings and not have to go to the NEW WAY!!!

Re: TV Guide online

You're welcome, Zach, I'll have to clarify my statement..  After reading barbie123's remarks here:

 http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Xfinity-TV-Website-Mobile-Apps/Internet-TV-Listings-Guide/m-p/2784618#M...

I did check the whole listing..  But for my purposes, they're gone. Don't know how barbie uses the guide..

Re: TV Guide online

TBDs on prime channels, with Favorites & HD filters activated.  1:00pm>>>>   Prior to 1::00pm, ok...   Have to agree with barbie, this is a random thing.

6 of the channels in that grouping of 16, TBD.    Is that 37.5%?    When I switched to HDonly, there were many more TBDs.  Smiley Sad

I did check out the 401 & 402 channels on zap2it,  they are PPV and PORN, definitely something I would waste my time and money on.

Re: TV Guide online

Ok, this bs has been going on long enough. It is evident Comcast is not going to do anything about the channel listing issue. Googled tv guide and a couple of pages of listings came up. Here are just a couple of tv guides, tvlistings.aol.com and tvtv.us. Both work great and ALL channels are listed. I like the aol guide and will be using it now. It is a shame a tv cable company can not provide a proper tv guide for it's users. Comcast, more useless everyday.

Re: TV Guide online

I have noticed that at least one channel was always missing from the .net guide, ION, and lately haven't noticed any TBD for at least a day.

But I tried the .com site tonight. Ugh.

Miss the 5 hour grid, no Favorites so you have to go through all the channel listings, etc.

Time to try some of the other sites. May have to revisit Zap2It. Last time I thought they went to 2 hour grid also.

Re: TV Guide online

zap2it has a 6 hour grid...    It's your choice..   Love it!!   TBDs still around..   I had them today when I advanced the screen..

Wish, someone has some clues to share about the cause.

Does it have anything to do with the X1 boxes rebooting every night??
