Switching from old DVR to new one

I still have programs saved on my old DVR.  Do I lose all of them when I switch to to updated equipment?

if you talk to billing at 800-Comcast and arrange to keep (outlet charge) your old DVR until you can watch it to 'empty' it is allowed. When empty can return it to your local store or Fed-EX center and charges will end. some take the time to 'play' the recordings out to a VCR in SD to watch later which reduces time you need the old DVR too.
