Subscriptions Issue While Trying to Watch On My Laptop

Subscriptions Issue While Trying to Watch On My Laptop

When I sign in to my profile and go online to watch, all of the channels I have are locked and it says I need a subscription. My cable/internet hasn't been installed yet and I'm using my neighbors internet. It limits me to their cable subscriptions right now, even though I had it working yesterday.

Re: Subscriptions Issue While Trying to Watch On My Laptop

The belief is without a active cable box or cable card on your account, the online versions are not available.

Like I said, I was watching just fine yesterday on the same connection.

I saw that, but I'm going on past experience.  Did you just set up the account yesterday?

You can call Comcast, but I doubt you will get far until your installation is complete.  1-800-266-2278.

Official Employee

Re: Subscriptions Issue While Trying to Watch On My Laptop

We do have an in-home autodetection feature so that you can watch your videos without that hasle of signing in (it doesn't auto sign in, so things like email, and dvr won't work with this, just watching video). So it sounds like it's doing that detection and thus thinks you are them. Try explicitly signing out and signing back in with your own username and see if that fixes the problem.
