Streampix App, Error 106000.47 & Won't Work With Wifi

Installed the Streampix app on my Galaxy s 5 about an hour ago.

Here is my experience with it so far.

I prefer to use a Wifi connection on my phone whenever possible.

Testing the app I signed in and picked out a random show.

I got Authenticating, then Preparing for playback, then this

Error 106000.47
Something is wrong with the playlist for this video. We're sorry for the
inconvenience; the error has been reported to our video team, who will
investigate asap. Please try playing this video again later.

I tried 5 other shows/movies and all gave the same error.

Disable wifi on the phone, tried again using cellular data and it worked. The same shows/movies that would not play on Wifi did play using cellular data.

I'm about to uninstall the app from the Galaxy. It does me no good if I can't use it with Wifi. Will reinstall it "later" and try again.

I am skeptical that a report was actually submitted to anyone.

And if it was Comcast does not know the meaning of ASAP, because when it involves fixing something the wheels of Comcast grind slower than the wheels of justice.

Might not be your problem but I had a similar problem with a Sumsung Galaxy.  Worked with cellular data not wifi.  Also wifi calling would not work.

In my case it turned out that E911 service wasn't registered on the cell phone.  Once it was wifi worked fine.

Since I posted the issue here and you were kind enough to offer something, I will check into that.

I can always use the TV Go app which works with Wifi, but Streampix has things that are not on TV Go.

TV Go was used a lot when my grand-daughter was here and we went to places that required waiting around. It kept her entertained and sitting down instead of wanting to run all over the place.

It came in handy at the hospital after her mommy was whisked to the ER in an ambulance after someone else ran a red light and hit my daughter's car.  Had to take the kid with me to the hospital.

Re: Streampix App, Error 106000.47 & Won't Work With Wifi

Update. All of a sudden the Streampix app started working with my Wifi.

While I am glad it does work, I still have no clue what the error message means.

kheffington, because it started working I did not have to explore the E911 angle. I do appreciate you posting it.
