Streaming our Church service video from computer to tv

Streaming our Church service video from computer to tv

I have tried, unsuccessfully, to find a way to stream our Sunday Church service to our X1 DVR Platform or directly to our tv.  On days when I'm sick and can't attend the regular service, my wife and I are having to crouch around our tiny computer screen to watch the service live or to stream a recording of the service when we have a 50" tv that would be much easier to watch.  Anyone have any ideas?

If your computer has an HDMI out port, you can hook it up to your TV that way.

or

Using a VGA cord with an appropriate audio cord out to the TV.

You wont be able to stream anything through your computer to the X1 box

Thanks, but using the HDMI port is not practical since the desktop omputer and the TV are in different rooms.  The TV must be using WiFi since it has downloaded my Facebook pictures for viewing on the TV.  I was hoping that Comcast had some app that could be used.

No there isn't an app. Are you referring to X1 Facebook app or is your TV a smart tv? You would need something with a browser to open that the X1 box just doesn't have.
