Streaming TV, sound is now VERY BAD

I stream alot. Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Xfinity. Today the sound with Xfinity is nearly impossible to understand. I have it on as low as I can on my computer, yet it has the sound of someone eating the microphone while yelling. I realize my show does not have this problem. IT"S YOU XFINITY> QUIT TOUCHING/CHANGING THINGS>

Doesn't anyone ever check what's being put out???????

Sorry you are experiencing this. Is this for a specific show or for everything you are trying to watch? If it is specific to a episode of a show, can you please tell me what that is so I can report it and get the video files resent to us by the network?

Also, I'm assuming this is On Demand content but if live or Cloud DVR, that would be helpful to troubleshoot for your circumstances.

in the old days before digital TV the station engineers had to manually adjust many things including audio level, commercials were over-driven until that was forbidden by FCC.

Today in digital format you get the same stream the provider has provided, meaning any levels of audio spoken, music (background), etc are presented as the producer created.

Your computer speakers have 2 controls and your speakers, if powered -amplified, may have another control for you to use. The computer has a control icon that you and left click to adjust as a computer master control. if you right click the speaker icon and select 'mixer' you can actually adjust 'only' the browser volume control that the audio is added to the mixer (for example IE or chrome). When the mixer is running (may have a scroll bar if a lot of inputs have registered) you should be able to locate the source by looking for the rising and falling of the 'level'  For example when watching via chrome browser i see on the mixer a chrome icon and the text "xFinity TV | TV Listings".

Thank you both for your replies. This resolved itself without me doing anything. It happened by itself, so I guess that makes sence! All is good in the world of sound.
