Search won't find Espn2

i was searching for where to find  Australian open final replay Sunday morning. Search would not find it. So I googled and its on Espn2 .

Ok so what channel number is that?

I put espn2 into the search on the Comcast app on iPad ( so as not to interfere with tv already being watched)

it would not find it but it would find ESPN so what gives?

see screen shots.

to quote the commercial you are doing it wrong Smiley Happy

The search like you want (copy of the STB when watching TV) is available using not the xfinity TV Remote app (the one you took screen shots from) but the xfinity TV app (virtually same interface as using any set top box that is x1 equipment. X1 equipment (and the TV app) will use any 'input' for search the same way.

when you search on the x1 STB or the xfinity TV app and type in ESP.. you will see "ESPN channel collection". select it and you will find the linear channel ESPN2 is assigned. then using your choice of apps go to that channel and see the programming.
