Request: download on Windows 8 tablet

Request: download on Windows 8 tablet

As today I was preparing myself to download one of my recordings to my Asus transformer tablet so I could watch it while running on the gym, I found I wouldn't be able to.

What happens is that there is no app for windows with download capabilities nor there is any interface at the website to make that possible.

My Asus tablet is bigger and brighter than my other tablets, therefore it's the best option to watch my series while running on the threadmill.

The gym has wi-fi, but the speed is slow, and won't be able to stream my HD recordings.

Am I wrong to assume that Comcast is working on a way around?

for streaming you can navigate to web site https://xtv.comcast.net/

there have been several threads basically if not on an android or on an apple phone/tablet can't download to watch, but just stream.

Re: Request: download on Windows 8 tablet

That's why I'm adding a request.

I want to be able to download to my tablet, not stream.

That's not an option.

Hear, hear - Comcast: please bring your apps to the Windows store - wait for Windows 10 if you want, then your apps can be universal - Xbox, desktop, laptop, phone, tablet, IoT, etc.!

At this time, there are no plans to develop the TV app for windows phones/tablets.

Re: Request: download on Windows 8 tablet

So just to confirm, Xfinity has decided to alienate a significant portion of their client base by not providing support for Windows devices.
