I'm having trouble with this too.

 

I have the Motorola RNG200N DVR box.

 

I've deleted/reinstalled the Xfinity TV Remote app several times and unplugged/replugged my cable box but nothing works.

 

When I try to setup the app, I get the message "Unfortunately we are unable to find any cables boxes eligible for TV control..."

 

The funny thing...on 1/25 I brought my old cable box (also an RNG200N) back to the Comcast office and swapped it for this new one (for an unrelated reason).  The old one DID work with the Xfinity app.

 

Followup (1/27): I guess all I needed was a little more patience.  About 24 hours after I installed the new cable box, the Xfinity App was able to recognize it.  The app now appears to be working normally.
