Last year when moved, we had to go with Comcast because of tree issues and couldn't keep DirecTV. We had the Genie and another HD DVR in our bedroom, with a combined space if 1 1/2 TB. NO Cloud needed! Simple, just increase the DVR hard drive. If the satellite went out due to weather (which was rare) we were still able to access recorded shows.
