Re; DRM error message when trying to play Silverlight videos.

I have been getting DRM error messages when trying to play Silverlight videos for about 1 1/2 years now and cannot play any video that is run with Silverlight.  On Comcast the error # is 525/6003.  On Netflix the error # is N8156-6003.  I have tried everything, have spoken to Microsoft as well as Netflix.  Just tried the new Adobe flash player and no luck.  Suggestions?

Try the steps below and let me know:

 

  1. Close all browser windows and completely exit your Internet browser.
  2. Locate and delete the MS Silverlight DRM Configuration file on your hard drive.
  3. Use the search utility to find the file mspr.hds or navigate to the following location:C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady\mspr.hd

i do that every so often to make sure it still doesn't work.  It doesn't work.

Go to xfinitytv.com/computer and please tell me what version of Silverlight that you are using.

I am using Silverlight 5.1.10516.0.

Please uninstall the Silverlight plug-in and try playing a video again. You will now be prompted to download Silverlight. Please follow all the on-screen instructions, restart your browser, and then attempt to play the video again.

uninstalled and then reinstalled Silverlight.   Still no luck, got the same error message 525/6003.

Try renaming the "mspr.hds" to "mspr.hds.old" and then try watching a video again.
