Ray Donovan

I have been using the new Xfinity TV App and watching the Olympics. Decided to see what else was available and noticed Ray Donovan on there. Usually you get a popup that your not subscribed or some such. The show started with a little blurb at the bottom about data charges might apply.

Normally you can't get that far without agreeing to some charges.

PS-Checked under purchases and nothing shows.

What gives?

Re: Ray Donovan

Do you have Showtime as part of your package? The blurb about the data charge just means you were attempting to stream a "TV Go" version of the show versus an "On Demand" version. The "TV Go" version is streamed through your regular internet connection, thereby counted as data, while the "On Demand" version is streamed through some Comcast proprietary IP network, and is not counted against your monthly data usage.  Confusing, yes, but nothing to do with a purchase ($) charge.

If you don't have Showtime, kind of strange it let you watch it to begin with. Could it be you are in one of those free Showtime promotions?

I guess I better not look a gift horse in the mouth are it might stop.

If I watch the 4th season of RD and get a hill from somebody so be it.
