Private messaging not working,

 Trying to private message comcastandrew before I cancel and go back to Directv. Why isn't it working? Won't let you type in the private message box, only the search/question box that goes to community. Losing faith in comcast quickly.

normally the questions are asked in the post itself and other customers may attempt to help or an on-duty Comcast employee may respond. Did you have a technical question or problem?

Okay, thanks. I appreciate your quick reply. I was wanting to talk directly with someone I felt was competent. ComcastAndrew has a lot of technical knowledge judging by his previous messages. I don't have a lot of time to waste, so talking to someone who can help that access to my equipment and account, helps me reach my solution quicker with less wasted time.

 

So the Private Message Icon is just for show and does nothing. I guess I should had known.

 

I did want to talk to a technically advanced comcast employee as a last ditch effort in staying with them. I've spent countless hours dealing with servicemen who know little about their job or customer service reps who can do nothing. 

 

I pretty much taken it, if I want my system to work, I NEED TO FIX IT MYSELF, NOT COMCAST. Since ComcastAndrew appeared from his other messages, to know more than all the comcast reps combined, I thought he might steer me in the right direction. I'm an instrument tech and hobby home theater installer, so I'm well versed on electronics and signals. Just wanted him to help answer some questions I had on equipment that is usually installed by competent field service techs, that I must purchase and install myself. I will not have another comcast subcontractor, contractor, or other employee in my house or on my property. I will cancel service first. I'm that disgusted with the incompetence and my loss of valuable time dealing with such.

 

BTW, I can get equal service by most streaming cable services as Directv Now or other providers, sans the DVR, for about 25% of what I'm paying Comcast. I pay more for the DVR and On-Demand convenience which is unreliable since switching to X1. I see no point in throwing money away anymore for services that can't be used without issue.
