Poor Picture

Why is the picture so poor compared to my HDTV Antennae

Accepted Solution

Re: Poor Picture

The number one reason is that the boxes on your account are Standard Definition boxes. You're comparing apples and oranges. You can upgrade your package/boxes anytime for HD service.

Poor picture is almost always due to poor connections ( barrel, coaxial, splitter ) etc...    Check to ensure all connectors are tight and if using HDMI, check that cable as well.

Re: Poor Picture

What are you comparing the picture to?

Are you talking about a local HD channel transmitting in 1080i (CBS, NBS, PBS) versus the same local channel over Comcast?

Or are you talking about all channels?

Re: Why can't Comcast Home Support keep an Appointment?

Hi Frustrated1001, the information that ComcastAndrew provided is correct. If you need assistance swapping out your current cable boxes for HD boxes I can help you here, please send me a private message with your street address, account number, and the full name on the account and we can get started. You can also go into a local Comcast service center and swap the equipment there.
