Online TV through Partner Sites not working.

ANSWERED

Online TV through Partner Sites not working.

I have now tried three separate partner sites, TBS, TNT, and Disney, and all get redirected to the following site https://login.comcast.net/h/tve_unauthorized_novideo.html telling me that I do not have an XFINITY TV subscription. I have tried under both logins associated with our account (KINGSTONTHOMAS and samanthaliz), deleted cookies and cache and even had the chat analyst reset our account permissions with no avail. My TV is showing the channels, xfinitytv.com works fine showing me videos that I can watch via all those channels. Hoping it's something easy I'm missing. Thanks in advance.

I have Digital Econ.

But this it is not what the requirements say here;

http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/cable-tv/accessing-online-tv-through-partner-sites/

To watch, you will need:

  • A subscription to XFINITY® TV.
  • A set-top box or other device supporting XFINITY® On Demand.
  • A subscription that includes the network you want to watch.

All that I have!!

I think the tech support rep's. assertion is WRONG, unless one of you reps. here could double/triple chk and clarify that IT IS the case.

Thx.

I further looked into this and sadly this is true. I am sorry I did not ask this question earlier and wasted your time.

You must have at least a Digital Starter package to access these sites but you will be able to watch CNN and CN content on XFINITY.com/tv.

I will also update the FAQ.

Try using a different web browser and let me know if it works. This is not a permanent solution but it will help us narrow down your issue.

What partner site are you using to watch videos?

Try watching videos on Xfinity.com/tv and let me know if you are still having issues.

Re: Online TV through Partner Sites not working.

I am able to go to Xfinity.com/tv and use that facility. However, for that too I had to call several times to get the codes put in and get the facility running. (I am still not sure whether I am getting the full facility)

My prob now mainly concerned with the facility I am supposed to get here;

http://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/cable-tv/accessing-online-tv-through-partner-sites/

I am unable to use any of those channels there that I have acces with my TV (CNN, CN etc).

Why is that we have to call in and get the access one at a time for things that should have been SET UP by your end when we signed up?  OR is that how the Comcast meant it to be?

I know there was a message left this morning from your customer service just inquring me 'how r things going?', pl let them know it is still the SAME...NO ACCESS! as per https://login.comcast.net/h/tve_unauthorized_nochannel.html

Hope you could be of help more on this.

Thx.

Is Cartoon Network and CNN are working on your TV and On Demand?

When at CNN.com and other network sites, are you getting an error message that you are not subscribed to these channels?

Re: Online TV through Partner Sites not working.

Is Cartoon Network and CNN are working on your TV and On Demand?

Yes they are working on TV and OD. (and also in xfinity.com/tv)

When at CNN.com and other network sites, are you getting an error message that you are not subscribed to these channels?

Basically yes.

Specifically----> when I start from the partner site it prompts me to chosse tv provider and it takes me to (for CN)

https://login.comcast.net/login?r=comcast.net&s=sso-pf&continue=%2Fidp%2FZZHUx%2FresumeSAML20%2Fidp%...

and when I fill in login and submit it ends up in........https://login.comcast.net/h/tve_unauthorized_nochannel.html

 PS:

What was done to correct this problem? can you chk?

http://forums.comcast.com/t5/XfinityTV-Website/watching-online-quot-Subscription-Required-quot-messa...

If it is a simple coding issue why phone support agents could not fix it for me? (they were able to code the xfinity.com/tv access for me though!)

Re: Online TV through Partner Sites not working.

yes. CNN and HBO works fine. Can view HBO movies on demand on tv . I am able to see HBO from the

http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/tv-networks/HBO/56/main   page on the xfinity site.

the issue again is while viewing content from the partner site -  http://www.hbogo.com/#home/

steps to reproduce the problem

1) go to  http://www.hbogo.com/#home/

2)sign in

3) drop down come up with select your tv provider

4)select comcast xfinity

5)takes me to    https://login.comcast.net/h/tve_unauthorized_novideo.html

6)click subscribe on the page( i dont want to select watch now on xfinity tv)

7) sign in with comcast id - does not complete the registration or subscription - takes me to the comcast accounts page.

7)use the option on the left pane does the same..

if i do the same on CNN site - i get the same results..

Hope i explained the problem in detail

Cheers,
