Online TV Remote App

I have an issue using the online remote from my Windows 7 based laptop. After I change a channel a notification pops up that says "Your request to tune to College Football has been sent to Great Room". This notification does not go away and I cannot do anything else unless I close down the window and relaunch the online remote. I have tried this from multiple laptops (all running Windows 7) and get the same result. I have tried the online app using both IE and Chrome. The app on my wife's Ipad works fine. Any suggestions? Thanks.
