If you have looked over the FAQs and are still having issues, please try these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

 

1) Please make sure you are running the most recent version of Flash. To check and upgrade if needed, click the link below to download the most recent version:

2) Once you have the newest version of Flash, go to:

 

 http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html

 

Here is where you can manage you Flash Settings

 

3) Make sure that "Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer" and "Store common Flash components to reduce download times" options are both checked

 

4) Move the "Specify the amount of disk space…" slider to 100 KB

 

5) Then go to:

6) Clear the Flash Player Cache by pushing the "Delete all sites" button

 

7) Then make sure that that cookies are enabled on your web browser. Below is how to confirm or change this setting depending on what web browser you are using:

 

MAC USERS:


FIREFOX BROWSER

 

1) Click where it says “FIREFOX” at the top left of screen
2) Preferences

3) Privacy tab
4) Open drop down next to "Firefox will:" and set it to "Use custom settings for history"
5) Make sure "accept cookies from sites" and “Accept third-party cookies” is checked

6) In the dropdown, make sure that you set it to where you keep them until they expire

 

SAFARI BROWSER


1) Click where it says “Safari” at the top left of screen
2) Preferences

3) Security Tab

4) Accept Cookies (check “Always”)

 

CHROME BROWSER


1) Click where it says “Chrome” at the top left of screen
2) Preferences

3) Scroll to bottom of page and click on “Show Advanced Settings
4) Under Privacy click on the “Content Settings” button
5) Under Cookies, check “Allow local data to be set” also make sure “Block third-party cookies and site data” IS NOT CHECKED
6) Click “OK” at bottom of page

 

PC USERS:

 

INTERNET EXPLORER


1) Click on Tools
2) Internet Options

3) Privacy Tab

4) Click the Advanced button in center of page
5) Check the radio button that says “First-party Cookies” and “Third-party Cookies
6) Click “OK”

FIREFOX BROWSER

 

1) Click Tools at the top of the screen

2) Options

3) Privacy Tab

7) Keep until: "they expire" (in drop down)
8) Click “Ok” at bottom

 

SAFARI BROWSER


1) Click on the wheel on the near the top right of the page
2) Preferences

3) Privacy Tab

4) Under Block Cookies: click “Never
5) Close out the pop up

 

CHROME BROWSER


1) Click on the wrench at the top right of the screen
2) Settings

3) Scroll to bottom of page and click Show Advanced Settings
4) Under Privacy, click on Content Settings

5) Under Cookies, check “Allow local data to be set” also make sure “Block third-party cookies and site data” IS NOT CHECKED
6) Click “OK” at bottom of page

 

 

8) Close your browser and then reopen your browser.

 

9) Start the verification process here: http://www.nbcolympics.com/liveextra/help/index.html
