Older televison and new Xfinity boxes

Older televison and new Xfinity boxes

I attempted to switch out my father's equipment today and realized that two of his three televisions are not HDMI compatable.  They both have older video and audio in wires.  I tried to connect the master unit to one of those older televisions and it either gets a black and white picture or on cable is a very fuzzy picture.  Is there any advice on how to get this new box connected to my father's television?  I already had two trips to the store today as they forgot to tell me to bring the modem for my first visit.  Now we have two televisions that no longer work for him.

Re: Older televison and new Xfinity boxes

Thank you for your reply.  The TV was hanging on the wall and made it very difficult to see the back.  I found an HDMI option on the menu screen so knew there had to be an hdmi jack somewhere on the tv.  Found it and all is working great now!  With the cables in the coax as stated it made the tv picture black and white!

The TV'S should work fine using the Coax output.

Adding to Barbie, is the tv itself on channel 3. Or on the proper input
