No browser works for playback

No browser works for playback

I've had issues with video play back on this site for a few weeks now and would like to say that for the money that I pay monthly this should not be a problem.  Every browser I use says it is not supported at this time which looks like this:

Xfinity Video Player Upgrade

Upgrade your Xfinity Player!

In order to watch On Demand Online videos with "HD-Like" picture quality, you need to install the new Xfinity Player

We're sorry, but for watching On Demand Online videos the following browsers are NOT officially supported at this time:

  • Windows XP: Safari 3/4
  • Windows Vista: IE 6, Safari 3/4
  • Windows 7: IE 6/7, Safari 3/4
  • Mac OS 10.4.11+: IE 6/7/8, Chrome

First off, I have tried to figure out how to upgrade the Xfinity player but there doesn't seem to be any such thing out there. If it is referring to Microsoft Silverlight, I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled numerous times because this is one of Comcasts solution problems which doesn't do a thing for me.  So with that said, I tried to use a browser not listed above, and when attempting to watch a video, there is just a black player with no indication of loading and no matter how long I've waited nothing happens.  This also occurred when I used Chrome, Safari, and IE (when they are considered supported)

Clearly there are issues with the site and not my computer which meets all the requirements listed for playback.  As a customer I am extremely aggravated by the lack of functionality of the site and have to ask myself daily why I continue to pay for extra channels so I can watch shows I've missed on my computer.  Now I would like to know what can be done since none of Comcast support theories work for me.

Here are some vieo links that do not work regardless the browser:
