No Sound in the morning?

No Sound in the morning?

I have a Arris XG1 connected to my Sony TV in the living room. Every other day or so I wake up to no sound. Picture is fine and box is responding. The only way to restore sound is to reboot the cable box under Power Preferences and Restart.

 

Any idea why this would be happening? Only happens overnight into the morning. No aduio issues any other time.

I have 2 TVs without a sound system that intermittently do this since beginning of September. I found that just turning the TV off and then back on fixed it for me. Appears to be some kind of issue in the HDMI handshake so theire is no sound. the set top box that is hooked up to a sony receiver has never had this issue.

My only solution is I have to power cycle the box through the menu. Never had this issue prior to September either.

Hi, Tek - Are you experiencing this issue with the second box as well?

Has not happened since I posted this. It was only happening on my DVR. Seems to be resolved. Maybe it was just a freak thing.
