New to service, TV remote app has no on demand listings

Hello,

I am new to Comcast and am excited that I can change my tv channel from my phone. Apparently a lot of people are having problems with the regular TV guide, but I am not. I can see channels and change them. However, when I tap the "On Demand" tab at the bottom of the app, it displays a top banner of suggested shows to watch, and three menus to explore. Tapping any menu reveals no programming, and selecting a program from the suggestion bar will access information, but provides no "watch now" button like selecting a TV channel does in the guide.

I read something on the remote app instructions that said something about not wing able to tune to On Demand with the app, only change live channels. Is this feature just not implemented yet? If the is the case, when will it be, and why include it in the app if it is not functional? Most likely it is just an error, but I understand the new operating system updates are finicky sometimes too.
