New Comcast HD/DVR box -- do I need to reprogram programs?

New Comcast HD/DVR box -- do I need to reprogram programs?

We traded our HD/DVR box because of excessive pilexation.  The new box is up and running except the saved programs are gone, and the shows normally programmed to be recorded are also gone.  Do these latter need to be reset?  And are the saved ones gone forever?

you have to reprogram, the settings are local to the cable box.
