MSNBC, channel 743 repeatedly looses pixel definition first then looses audio.

MSNBC, channel 743 repeatedly looses pixel definition first then looses audio.

MSNBC, channel 743 repeatedly looses pixel definition, then looses audio, then the screen goes black, then everthing comes back to perfect, then the cycle repeats itself. Some times the channel is perfect for hours then the above happens every few minutes. Its more likely to happen late afternoon into the evening. Its as if there is a buffer thats not filling properly and stops to catch back up. I've talked to Samsung Tech support and the Geek Squad TV Tech support and they indicate if its one channel only, its cable equipment related. Any ideas?

The reply I received was very helpful. I arranged for a Tech to come out. He found that our underground cable had deteriorated between leaving their connection box and entering the ground. He replaced that and also replaced the splitter/amplifier unit on our house. One or both seems to have fixed the problem.

Two weeks have elapsed since repairs and system is still working well.

Not necessarily equipment related but could also be something happening with the frequency that channel is coming in on. I would suggest a tech out to troubleshoot further.
