Low signal strength message

Low signal strength message

When I installed my new XG1-A DVR, I received a message during setup that signal strength was low. It said I could continue setup, but that the guide would be slow.

I continued setup and things seem to work ok, but is there a way to check signal strength? What should I do about this?

Re: Low signal strength message

Your dvr is a little out of spec, see if you can remove any extra splitters to gain signal strength back.

Re: Low signal strength message

There is one 1:3 splitter - installed by Comcast. One line goes to the cable modem, one to the main DVR (that indicated low signal strength), and one to the mini-DVR on the second TV.

If that's the case, if you start to have issues, I'd have a tech out to troubleshoot further.
