Loop in instructions for Programming a VCR...

The instructions for "Program your VCR to record shows using your new Digital Adapter" (webpage https://customer.comcast.com/help-and-support/cable-tv/programming-your-vcr-using-digital-adapter/) contain the  link "program your digital set-top-box" (http://customer.comcast.com/%28S%28ufdjqn3ddbd30j2d3tay5nb2%29%29/Pages/FAQViewer.aspx?seoid=recordi... which loops back to the original web page. Please clarify. Thank you.

Re: Loop in instructions for Programming a VCR...

Wow. "customer.comcast.com/(S(ufdjqn3ddbd30j2d3tay5nb2))/Pages/FAQViewer.aspx?seoid=recording-future-programs-with-vcr-and-set-top-box" is a seriously messed-up URL.

Item #25 on http://comcastmidwest.com/dta-faqs/ appears to have the information this link used to point to. I don't know if the information is current as I have no way to check it. They have been removing VCR functions from their cable box software for some time, and this one is likely to be gone soon if it isn't already.

I doubt if they'll bother to fix the link, but maybe they'll surprise me.

Re: Loop in instructions for Programming a VCR...

BruceW; Thank you. As my TV has but one set of audio/component input ports and they're attached to the DVD Player, I will swap the VCR for the DVD Player, test Item #25's instructions, and report back.

Re: "...I doubt if they'll bother to fix the link, but maybe they'll surprise me.": The link was just changed and now displays "We're Sorry - this page cannot be found". Easier than addressing the issue, I suspect.
