Locking a Box to Channel or Removing from App

Locking a Box to Channel or Removing from App

I tried support and got nowhere fast...

I am trying to lock down a box to a dedicated channel (Local ABC, local CBS, etc).  Or remove that box from the TV Remote App.  We have multiple boxes that get changed throughout the day using the app, but on occasion they choose the wrong box and change one of our dedicated feeds (even though they are named in a way that nobody should be touching it.)

Only solution I have seen is to parent lock each channel except the one I want it on... Seems like a lame process.

Any help is appreciated.

if it is not a premium channel have you considered swapping the X1 set top box for a DTA so it is not part of the X1 remote app?

Re: Locking a Box to Channel or Removing from App

Hi Station2 -- As Rustyben suggests, having a box that is not part of the remote app would be the best way to keep a box channel from being changed. You wouldn't be able to block the box from the app as long as it's an app capable box.
