In order to watch X, you need a subscription to X

Hopefully this is in the right forum group...

 

I ordered service yesterday and got an email saying I could register on the website and watch tv online prior to the technican coming to activate service. I created the account but any time I try clicking on something to watch it says "In order to watch...you need a subscription to...". I signed up for it 24 hours ago. Interestingly I can seem to get "pilot shows" to play. I've googled this and noticed a ton of people have had the same issue. Not a great start. :/

 

I've tried this on my pc, mac, android phone and ipad - and signed in and out of them all.

Hi pnwclutcchup,  I apologize about the information that was given to you, but you would need a cable box on your account for entitlements to flow through and  to watch videos online. I do see that you have a technician scheduled out soon, if you are still having problems after the install please let me know and I will take a look for you.

I am having the same problem. But, I have a cable box, hooked up and tested. I've not plugged up my TV yet. I just watch shows online. Still I don't know why I cannot watch live streaming of certain shows on xfinitytv.comcast net without getting the error that I need a subscription. I'm clicking on shows for channels that show up in My Channels area online.

Hi cheers2us, I went ahead and refreshed entitlements on your account, can you please retest and let me know if you see a difference?
