How do I set up a captioning phone with xfinity?

How do I set up a captioning phone with xfinity?

My dad is using Xfinity for Phone, TV and Internet.  The close captioning phones like CapTel seem to require an analog phone line.  They also require two telephone numbers if you want the caller to call direct.  Otherwise, callers need to call the captioning service first.

 

Does anyone have a phone captioning set up that uses xfinity and just one digital phone line?

Only a few models need the VOIP/Analog requirement.  There are about 4 models from CapTel that are VOIP capable.

That's only the case for the model 840. Model 840i phones (and others, as stated) only need one line plus an Internet connection.
