No, I pay only for SD.

what do you have your set top box output resolution set?
Resolution is 1080 and 720 checked. There is no visual difference between 1080 and 720.... Equal quality.

HDMI connection TV - box

Is the TV HD or SD?
My TV is HD.

I asked for a technical support. The guy who came told me that this is the best for SD(?!).

P.S. Sling and PS Vue are with much better picture quality. How can be this possible???

Upgrading your Box to HD will provide a much better picture ( in line with Sling & PS Vue ).

Re: Horrible picture

adding... you should set your set top box to 720p then and let your TV try to best handle the upsample to its own HD display channel. The local rebroadcast channels will likely be in HD anyway.

Re: Horrible picture

Honestly, I don't want to pay more for HD...

I already did it with the 720p, played with the TV... I spent hours on the phone with customer support, then with the technician who came to my house... And still... This is the "best". Do you think I should complain or just look for another internet and TV provider?

you could try HD for a month and see if you think it is worth it. based on 30 days it is about 33cents per day.
