Get your PC to control your cable box again......

We have been told that the xfinity tv remote app will allow us to get some of the missing features of the old site such as controlling our tv from our pc. Many of us don't have tablets or cell phones to use this or don't like or can't use small screens. For those of you who wish they had the ability to change channels, watch on demand on tv, watch recordings on tv, manage your dvr and the other features of the tv remote app on your window pc, you can download and install an Android emulator. There are many free ones. I just downloaded Bluestacks Andriod emulator, once installed I went to google play store and installed the tv remote app on my pc in the emulator. I can now change channels and all the other things the tv remote app is capable of doing from my pc. It is a little slow due to  the fact that it is emulating but I get back the ability of my pc controlling my cable box.

Here is a list of Andriod emulators or you can google for your own search:

There are also IOS emulators available if you prefer:

Liar liar pants on fire. Stupid Bluestacks Andriod emulator isn't really free. It just started telling me I had to download sponsored apps or pay $2 a month to continue using it. I uninstalled it and downloaded a different one.
