General Hospital

For two days my wife's General Hospital subscription has been filled with live news programs related to the shooting in Southern California.

This has happened in the past, with other programs, where the selected channel decided to override their programming schedule.  For example, she watches NASCAR.  When a race runs over, it gets cut off before the finish.  That happened with the championship race last week.  It was "way over" the extra time we had given to help against just this type of problem.

With the race, being as it was live, I didn't look for anything.  However, for General Hospital, I figured I would just look up the episodes for her using On Demand.  Unfortunately, On Demand doesn't help.   Both on the TV and a computer, the only copy available to her is the version copied from the TV station that didn't broadcast it.

Is there a way to bypass your locally recorded programs and go to someplace that holds a master copy of the program?
