Firefox vs. Internet Explorer

Does anyone know why I can watch movies on my computer through Firefox Ver. 8.0.1 and not through Internet Explorer Ver. 8.06001.  I called CS and they could figure it out and were surprised to learn that it works with FF and not IE (something we discovered during the phone call).  If there are any settings in IE that I need to change I appreciate a tip.  Popups are not blocked and even third party cookies are allowed. I'm running Windows XP, service pack III.

 

When I click on the movie it takes me to the viewing window with a black screen and no controls and nothing starts.

While in IE, please go to www.xfinitytv.com/computer and copy the information you see on-screen and paste it in this thread so we can further assist you.

 

Also, please send the URLs of the videos that you are trying to watch.

I have the exact oposite problem -- I can watch using Explorer but not Firefox 12.0.

Since it works in IE, that means there is probably something in Firefox that is preventing videos from playing.

 

In Firefox, try disabling all ad blocking add-ons and plug-ins and then try again.
