Different OnDemand databases?

Different OnDemand databases?

I noticed an issue yesterday with different selections being available. Are there different databases depending on the platform? Are you slowly removing material from non-X1 to force people to get X1?

On my non-X1 cable box, the latest episode of Travel Channel's "Mysteries at the Museum" ("Undercover Informant, the Black Beetle and Unexpected Artist") is not listed, but it is listed on the Stream app on both my phone and Roku (I ended up watching it on the Roku). The same goes for Smithsonian's "Make It Out Alive". S1E3 "Oklahoma Tornado" is only 4 minutes on the cable box, but full length on the others.

Re: Different OnDemand databases?

I would say "Yes", the are two data bases. One for standard cable ON DEMAND programing, and one for streaming broad-band ON DEMAND. Many programs might only be found on one source of transmitting. Nothing really new.

Re: Different OnDemand databases?

Since the phone/Roku apps appear to have an X1-style interface, I was wondering if X1 users see the same as those, or the same as my non-X1 box.

Re: Different OnDemand databases?

Hi andyross,

The answer provided by MNtundraRET is correct. To add to that, I just wanted to mention that a non-X1 subscriber should see the same thing as an X1 subscriber.  Can you verify if you are still noticing a difference on your end?
