DVR stuck at "synching in progress" for a week

I attempted to follow the FAQ and direct this to info@xfinity.com but received a response indicating that there were problems with that email server... So I'm posting the part without personal info here.  Let me know where to and the rest of it, assuming you can't fix things for me based on this.

I upgraded my service last week including adding DVR service.  Unfortunately the "mydvr" services still are not working despite my best efforts and those of at least 7 or 8 different phone service reps.  In the process of searching for solutions online I found a FAQ entry on the xfinity TV forum website that directed me here... Hopefully you will be able to get this fixed for me!

The issue:  the DVR works locally, however we can't schedule programming or view what has been scheduled from any of the remote interfaces (website, iPad, iPhone).

This is what I see under On Your Tv / DVR Manager online:
"You are now ready to schedule DVR recordings from anywhere.
Synching in progress.
DVR Manager is now syncing with your DVR"

None of the DVR recording commands work, however (many, like the record button, just seem to no-op.)

The ipad app just shows syncing on two shows it has listed (I'll admit.. I have no memory of how those shows got there, but they didn't get recorded afaik).

Try unplugging your box for a minute or so and then plug it back in.

I suggest you do this before you leave the house or before you go to bed. It takes some time for the grid to fully load and for the cable box to fully sync back up again.

After you have done this, please try again and let me know the results.

Thanks,
Joe
