DVR Recordings GONE!!!

DVR Recordings GONE!!!

Hi All,

I'm afraid I already know the answer to my question...but just in case.....

Long story short: was missing SOME sports and entertainment channels; some "tech" working with dispatch finally got all my channels authorized and working....yay!!

Lo and behold a few hours later I check my DVR and ALL of my recording are GONE (48% of a 60 GB drive). After many calls, voice mails and denials this is possible, I am at wits end.

The weird part is DVR Manager online still shows the 48% storgage, but without the actual program listings.

Are my shows "out there" somewhere and recoverable....or has COMCAST got me again?

thanks.

T.

Re: DVR Recordings GONE!!!

UPDATE....

Spoke to a Corporate Escalation Specialist who was able to decipher what happened.

During my service call the Dispatch technician removed and re-added my DVR box to the account. This essentially resets the box to "from the office" state.

In other words....bye bye recordings....

unplug your box to reset it, if they dont come back after that, they are gone.
