DVR Manager and iPhone App Not Working

I used to be able to program my DVR remotely through the website and the iPhone app.  Now, suddenly, neither one will work.  I can change channels through each approach, so something is connecting to my

dvr, but I cannot program a recording.  I'd really like to get this service that was promised and used to work.  How's about someone gets to fixing this.  I tried two online chats, a telephone call and a tech visit, but still no go.

I get this in my scheduled recordings tab, with the text a subdued gray, and no options to modify the recording, and the recording never takes place.
